Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour

  • 1/2 cup light brown sugar, packed

  • •1/3 cup cold unsalted butter, cubed

  • 1 teaspoon ground lavender buds

  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon

  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Steps

  1. In a bowl, combine flour, brown sugar, lavender, cinnamon, and salt.

Steps

  2. Bring the water to a low boil.

  3. Add the Simple Syrup Kit or Refill Kit to the water, while whisking to dissolve the sugar.

  4. Whisk one minute.

  5. Turn off the heat and set a timer for 30 minutes.

  6. Stir occasionally during the 30 minutes. The mixture will thicken slightly.

  7. Pour the mixture through a fine-mesh sieve into your storage container.

  8. Press the lavender buds caught in the sieve with the back of spoon to get any remaining syrup.

  9. Let cool completely, cap, and store in the refrigerator for up to 3 weeks.
