Lavender Streusel

A buttery, crunchy topping with lavender, cinnamon and brown sugar. Perfect topping for muffins, quick breads, and cakes.


Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour

  • 1/2 cup light brown sugar, packed

  • •1/3 cup cold unsalted butter, cubed

  • 1 teaspoon ground lavender buds

  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon

  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Steps

  1. In a bowl, combine flour, brown sugar, lavender, cinnamon, and salt.

  2. Add cold cubed butter to the dry ingredients.

  3. Use a pastry cutter or your fingers to blend butter into the mixture until it resembles coarse crumbs.

  4. Sprinkle evenly over batter before baking.
