When does the lavender bloom? We grow English and French lavender and several different cultivars of each type. Our blooms start in mid to late July and will go through August.
Do you have farm tours? Yes, we do. You can walk the lavender fields during our published open hours for visitors, and it is free. We have maps inside the Gift Shop.
For 5 or more adults who want to go deeper, there is a $5 per person fee. The tour time must be scheduled in advance, and we aim for a Friday or Saturday morning beginning at 9 am. Text us at 719-371-2828.
Do you allow dogs? Yes, we do. Please keep them on a leash, out of the lavender, and come prepared to pick up after them. Only service dogs are allowed in the Farm Shop.
How long and far is the stroll through the fields? If you follow the map, the walk is about 1/2 mile. We recommend about 1-1/2 hours for your visit. Our gates at the front entrance shut 15 minutes after closing time.
What if I can’t walk? No worries. You can drive to see the fields. There's also space to park near the fields if you'd like to get out of your vehicle and get up close to the lavender. The roads are made of gravel or carefully mowed native grass.
Do you sell plants? Yes, we offer plant starts in late May and early June. The plants we sell are cuttings from our own 'mother plants' in the fields, so you can be confident in their origin and quality. Follow us on social media to stay up-to-date on days we have plants for sale.
Can I bring a picnic? Yes, you may. We recommend a blanket in one of our beautiful shady spots. We also have some picnic tables under our Willow Grove. Please, no alcoholic beverages. We have our lavender lemonade in to-go cups that you may purchase in the Farm Gift Shop, and our delicious blackberry ice cream for dessert. We are not a state park and rely on our sales to support our groundskeeper.
