Ingredients
4 salmon fillets (6 oz each)
1/2 cup lavender balsamic vinegar
2 tablespoons dried culinary lavender
1/4 cup honey
2 tablespoons olive oil
2 cloves garlic, minced
Salt and pepper to taste
Fresh lavender sprigs for garnish (optional)
Steps
In a small saucepan, combine lavender balsamic vinegar, honey, lavender, and minced garlic.
Bring the mixture to a simmer over medium heat, stirring occasionally for about 5-7 minutes, until slightly thickened.
While the glaze simmers, preheat your grill or oven to 375°F (190°C).
Season the salmon fillets with salt and pepper, and drizzle olive oil over them.
Place the salmon skin-side down on the grill or in a baking dish.
Brush the salmon generously with the lavender balsamic glaze.
Grill or bake for 12-15 minutes, basting with more glaze halfway through cooking. Salmon is done when it flakes easily with a fork.
Remove from heat and let rest for a couple of minutes.
Serve garnished with fresh lavender sprigs and extra glaze if desired.
