Ingredients

  • 4 salmon fillets (6 oz each)

  • 1/2 cup lavender balsamic vinegar

  • 2 tablespoons dried culinary lavender

  • 1/4 cup honey

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • Fresh lavender sprigs for garnish (optional)

Steps

  1. In a small saucepan, combine lavender balsamic vinegar, honey, lavender, and minced garlic.

  2. Bring the mixture to a simmer over medium heat, stirring occasionally for about 5-7 minutes, until slightly thickened.

  3. While the glaze simmers, preheat your grill or oven to 375°F (190°C).

  4. Season the salmon fillets with salt and pepper, and drizzle olive oil over them.

  5. Place the salmon skin-side down on the grill or in a baking dish.

  6. Brush the salmon generously with the lavender balsamic glaze.

  7. Grill or bake for 12-15 minutes, basting with more glaze halfway through cooking. Salmon is done when it flakes easily with a fork.

  8. Remove from heat and let rest for a couple of minutes.

  9. Serve garnished with fresh lavender sprigs and extra glaze if desired.
